Going independent means becoming a business. Or billing through ours.

You land the client. We handle the billing, the invoice chasing and a payment run every two weeks. Our company carries general liability coverage. No LLC to form. You just do the work.

Passthrew is a pass-through billing entity, not a staffing firm and not an employer of record.

A small office seen from the doorway on a bright day, two wooden desks and a garden door open onto greenery, one person turned away at the far desk with a page of text on the laptop, a printed page and pen and a red mug on the near desk

How it works

Four steps, then it is just invoices.

1You land the client and set your rate

Your client, your scope, your number. Tell us who is paying, what the work is, the rate and when it starts. A few questions, then a short call.

2We stand in as the company

Most clients don't take individuals. Ours does. We get onboarded, we fill out the forms, and you get to work.

3You submit your hours to us, we invoice on your behalf

Every two weeks you tell us how many hours you worked and we'll take care of everything else.

4You get paid through our company

Direct deposit from us every two weeks. Easy access to tracking payment statements and tax forms. You keep landing clients and nothing changes on the backend for you.

Who is this for

Anyone who said yes to the project before thinking about the paperwork.

Your families get a real invoice. You get a payment statement.

Your client pays a company. You do the writing.

Bill your client's company without forming one of your own.

A new show is a new invoice. No new forms.

Kinds of work

If a client will pay for it, we can invoice it.
